Pair of break-ins in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent police are also looking for leads in connection with two break-ins that both took place in the Wallaceburg area.

Officers said someone broke into detached shed at a residence on Elgin Street Tuesday morning and stole an 85cc multi-coloured 2006 Honda dirt bike.

The bike has a number "11" placard on both sides near the back of the bike.

In a separate incident, police responded to a call about a break-in at a residence on Bluewater Line.

Investigators said someone broke into a detached garage on a property there and stole a Poulan chainsaw, a Stihl weed eater, and a black 20-speed Raleigh bike with a square seat. That break-in is believed to have taken place sometime between August 19 and August 21.

Police said there are currently no suspects in either case, so they are asking for tips from the public.

Anyone with information should contact Chatham-Kent police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
