Woman arrested after allegedly assaulting peace officer

A 25-year-old Wallaceburg woman is facing charges after allegedly urinating in public and resisting arrest.

According to police, it happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday after they got a call about a disturbance at a business on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

While officers were there, they say the woman leaned against one of the police cruisers and began urinating in the parking lot. When they attempted to arrest her, she became combative and assaulted an officer.

The woman has been charged with committing an indecent act and assaulting a peace officer. She was later released from custody and given a future court date.
