Carleton signs with WNBA team

Chatham's Bridget Carleton has signed a seven-day contract with the Minnesota Lynx.

Terms of the deal with the WNBA team were not disclosed.

Carleton played for the Lynx Thursday night, coming off the bench for two minutes as Minnesota beat the Dallas Wings 86-70.

The Lynx next game is Sunday against the Las Vegas Aces.

The 6'1" forward was waived by the Connecticut Sun on July 3. She played in four games for the Sun after the team drafted her 21st overall in the second round of the WNBA draft in April. Carleton played four seasons for the Iowa State Cyclones before graduating in the spring of 2019.
