Car window smashed

Police are looking for more information after a mischief complaint in Chatham.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. Friday morning at a business on Park Avenue West. Officers were called after the business' company vehicle had its window broken.

Truck stolen overnight

Police are asking members of the public to be on the lookout for a stolen vehicle.

It was stolen from a residence on Grand River Line, police responded to the scene around 3:20 a.m. Saturday morning. The owner said his garage had been broken into and his truck was stolen.

The vehicle in question is a 2014 grey Dodge Ram Pickup with Ontario license plates FW8345. If this vehicle is observed police ask you to contact them at 519-352-1234 or call Crime Stoppers.

Shoplifting results in charges 

A man is facing charges after allegedly shoplifting from the Walmart in Chatham.

According to police, the man was busted shortly before 10 p.m. on Friday. He was charged with theft and possession under $5,000 and given a future court date.

Two people arrested on warrants 

Chatham-Kent police were able to locate two people on Friday who were wanted on warrants.

The one man, a 39-year-old Wallaceburg resident, was arrested for breaching his recognizance. Upon arresting him, officers found meth in his possession. He was arrested and charged then transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police were also able to locate an 18-year-old Chatham man who was wanted by Windsor police for assault. He was taken back to Windsor to answer to the charges.
