CK Public Library to host ID Clinics

Anyone who needs help getting identification will have the chance to do so at a couple of upcoming ID Clinics in Chatham-Kent.

ID Clinics will be held at the Chatham and Blenheim branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library in September and is being offered in partnership with Chatham-Kent Employment and Social Services and Service Canada.

"Clinics will offer individuals assistance with filling out online or paper birth certificate applications for all provinces in Canada," the municipality explained in a press release. "Those who require photo ID will gain an understanding of the purpose of photo ID and the steps they will need to take to acquire the photo ID card. Information on how to obtain a Health Card will also be available."

Service Canada will also be assisting anyone who requires a Social Insurance Number or Personal Access Code and will answer any questions applicable to their services.

There is no fee to attend the clinics and no registration needed, however, people will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis. Financial screening will be available for those who need assistance with payment for identification.

The ID Clinic in Chatham will be held on Thursday, September 12 from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at 120 Queen St. W. in Chatham. The ID Clinic at the Blenheim library, located at 16 George St., will be held on September 19, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
