UPDATE: Severe thunderstorm warning ended for CK

A severe thunderstorm warning has ended for Chatham-Kent.

A severe thunderstorm watch was upgraded to a warning just before 4 p.m. Friday afternoon and lasted about 40 minutes. The warning was downgraded back to a severe thunderstorm watch, which ended shortly after 10 p.m.

Forecasters with Environment Canada said a storm near Wallaceburg was moving east at 60 kilometres per hour and would likely affect Chatham, Wallaceburg, Mitchell’s Bay, Grande Pointe, Pain Court, Dresden, Arkwood and Thamesville.

Residents are advised to stay indoors if extreme weather approaches.
