Electronics targeted during church break-in

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they investigate a break-in at a church on Victoria Avenue in Chatham.

Officers said someone broke in through the back door of the building sometime Thursday morning and took off with some electronics and laptops.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Craig Zink at craigz@chatham-kent.ca or 519-436-6600 ext. 87324. Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.

Police seek Bothwell break-in suspect

Can you identify the suspects pictured below?

Chatham-Kent police are hoping you can so that they can solve a break-in at a business on Main Street in Bothwell.

Officers said at about 5 a.m. Friday, the suspects backed a vehicle into the doorway to get inside and then took off with a large amount of lottery tickets and some cash.

Construction closes front access at police headquarters

If you want to get into the CKPS headquarters building in Chatham on Saturday, you might have to get a police escort.

The front entrance to the building on Third Street will be closed to the public between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. on July 20 for maintenance work.

You're asked to avoid heading to the police station during those hours unless it is urgent.
