TV, laptop stolen during break-in

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after someone broke into a residence in Wallaceburg and took off with some electronics.

Police said someone broke into a home on Greenbriar Trail sometime between 10 p.m. Sunday and 2 a.m. Monday and took off with a 40" flat screen TV and an HP Laptop computer.

Police chase down wanted man

A 34-year-old Chatham man is learning the hard way that you can't outrun the law.

Police said the man was wanted on a surety relief warrant and allegedly took off on foot after police located him Sunday afternoon.

Officers quickly caught up to him, though, and arrested him. He was then taken back to Chatham-Kent police headquarters pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested during an early morning outing

A 34-year-old man who was allegedly out past his curfew early this morning is back in police custody.

Police said officers found the man at around 2:15 a.m. Monday and arrested him. He was taken back to police headquarters pending a bail hearing.

Coffee with a Cop

Chatham-Kent police are set to hold another Coffee with a Cop event later this month at Tim Hortons in Blenheim.
