Police find suspected heroin during traffic stop

Several people are facing drug-related charges after a traffic stop on Friday, including a man who had 11 warrants out for his arrest.

When police stopped the car, they observed a driver and three passengers inside. Officers discovered that one of the passengers, a 32-year-old man, was wanted on 11 outstanding warrants. When officers searched the man, they allegedly found suspected heroin in his possession.

While speaking with the driver, a 26-year-old woman, police allegedly saw a fully loaded syringe in plain view inside the car. The syringe was believed to be filled with heroin.

The driver and the two other passengers, a 30-year-old and 60-year-old man, were arrested and have all been charged with possession of a controlled substance. They were released from custody and given a future court date.

The 32-year-old passenger was also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and held for a bail hearing.

Man caught on outstanding warrant

A "suspicious" person turned out to be a man who was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

According to police, they went to go check out the scene on Friday after getting a call from someone complaining about a suspicious person.

When police located the man, they found out that he had an outstanding warrant for breach of probation and failing to attend court.

The 36-year-old Wallaceburg man is being held for a bail hearing.
