Executive position filled at Wallaceburg Chamber of Commerce

The Wallaceburg and District Chamber of Commerce has a new executive director.

Jill Misselbrook, who worked within the agency at a different capacity, has recently been promoted following a vote by the board of directors.

“[Misselbrook] was the natural candidate to take on the role and title as she was already doing all of the duties of an executive director,” said Karen Debergh, board chair of the Wallaceburg and District Chamber of Commerce. “She had taken on a commanding leadership role with us and it was time that we recognized her hard work and dedication by giving her the credit, and title, that she has earned.”

Misselbrook said it's an "honour" to be selected for the position.

“I take pride in giving back to Wallaceburg and the surrounding area anyway I can," said Misselbrook in a statement. "As the new executive director, I can now direct my skills towards providing even greater services for our members.”

The new executive director has worked in Chatham-Kent for over 25 years within the advertising stream and runs a small business in Dresden with her husband. Additionally, Misselbrook is an active volunteer with non-profit organizations, which include the Canadian Cancer Society and the Dresden Community Food Bank.
