Charges laid after early morning stabbing in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police have released some more details about a recent stabbing in Chatham.

Police said they were called to an apartment on Grand Avenue at around 6 a.m. Tuesday after two men who know each other were involved in a "disturbance."

Officers said a 34-year-old Chatham man was stabbed with a knife and taken to the hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries and then released.

A 26-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested in connection with the case and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a dangerous weapon.

He was taken to the courthouse pending a bail hearing.
