Woman accused of writing forged doctor's notes and prescriptions

A Chatham woman has been arrested and charged with six fraud-related offences after allegedly identifying herself as a doctor.

Heather Cadotte, 39, has been charged after a nearly two-month-long investigation, which started in April.

Police said they were made aware of the alleged fraudulent acts after Cadotte's employer told police she had been writing forged doctor's notes and prescriptions.

Cadotte was located on Thursday and charged with two counts of fraud, two counts of making forged documents, and two counts of use, deals, and acts on forged documents.

She has been released from custody with a future court date set for June 19, 2019.
