Golf clubs stolen in Raleigh township

Suspects remain on the loose after a break-in at a home in Raleigh Township on Thursday.

Police said the break-in occurred sometime between 6:30 p.m. and 11 p.m on Fifth Line.

The culprits entered an unlocked garage and removed a set of Women’s Golf Clubs, electronics, and multiple bottles of alcohol.

Wallaceburg bandits get away with $1,000 in valuables

Tractor batteries and tools, valued at around $1,000, were stolen from a shed in Wallaceburg.

Police said the break-in happened between Wednesday night and Thursday morning on Mirwin Road. The thieves entered an unlocked shed and allegedly took some tractor batteries as well as tools.

Suspects remain at-large.

Stolen sunglasses leads to charge

One woman has been charged with theft after allegedly stealing sunglasses from a store on St. Clair Street.

The theft happened on Tuesday as police allege the woman was caught on camera removing samples of prescription sunglasses. The total value of the sunglasses was $600.

The woman was found, arrested and charged on Friday morning. Her name was not released by police.

The accused has been formally charged with theft and being in possession of property obtained by a crime.

She was released from Chatham-Kent police custody and turned over to police in Sarnia where she was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants.
