Tools stolen from shed

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they try to recover some tools that were reported stolen from a shed on Darrell Line just outside of Chatham.

Officers said approximately $300 worth of wrenches were taken after someone broke into the shed sometime between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Traffic enforcement nabs two speeders

Chatham-Kent police stopped two alleged speeders while they were monitoring traffic on Wheatley Road Wednesday.

The crackdown on traffic offences comes during Canada Road Safety Week.

Officers also kept an eye on drivers in the area around the construction zone on Orchard Heights in Chatham Wednesday but didn't observe any infractions there.

Coffee with a cop

Chatham-Kent police will be holding another Coffee with a Cop event next week.

It's taking place at the Tim Hortons in Tilbury on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
