Man charged with threatening family member

A 36-year-old Blenheim man is charged with uttering threats in connection with a domestic incident over the weekend.

Police said the man is accused of threatening to cause bodily harm to a family member.

He was arrested, charged, and later released with conditions and a future court date.

Sunday speeders stopped just east of Chatham

Chatham-Kent police said they stopped five drivers for speeding on Longwoods Road just east of Communication Road Sunday morning.

Officers were conducting traffic enforcement on that stretch of road at the time.

------------- Bicycle reported stolen in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are working to track down a silver women’s Norco Yorkville bicycle and a black bicycle helmet that were both reported stolen from a shed on Llydican Avenue over the weekend.

Police said the bike and helmet were taken after someone forced their way into the shed at approximately 8 p.m. Saturday. The bicycle is valued at approximately $500.
