CK gets $210K in gaming revenue from OLG

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is cashing in on their fourth-quarter earnings for hosting Gateway Casinos in Dresden.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation's fourth quarter non-tax gaming revenue payment of $210,096 is for the time period between January 1, 2019 and March 31, 2019.

“OLG shares revenues with host municipalities and in Chatham-Kent, this money has gone towards community services and infrastructure,” said MPP Monte McNaughton in a statement. “I am proud that our government is committed to continuing to provide support for municipalities and to protect what matters most – our critical services including our world-class health care and education systems.”

From April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019, the municipality has received $884,638 from the OLG in non-tax gaming revenue. To look back further, Chatham-Kent has received more than $11.8 million since April 2001.
