Positivity Day launches video challenge

Calling all filmmakers in Chatham-Kent.

The organizers of Positivity Day in CK want you to get creative and create a positive video about Chatham-Kent that’s three minutes or less.

“Video can be done simply on your cellphone, it could be done on a GoPro, it could be done on an old video camera, it really doesn’t matter, ” said Captain Positive. “You get it on a USB drive or you put it on YouTube and then send it into our website. It’s as simple as that.”

The deadline to submit videos is 12pm on May 27, 2019.

“Then from the 28th to the 31st we’re actually going to have an online poll,” said Captain Positive. “So we are going to have a viewers choice award for each category, there are four different categories. So we’re really looking forward to people getting online and voting and checking out all the videos.”

The four categories are individual, school, business, and not-for-profit. Some helpful props are also available at Abstract Marketing.

“Positivity things, like capes and stickers, and stuff like that, that you can incorporate into your video,” said Opti-Woman.

“There’s also a toolkit on our website,” added Captain Positive. “So if you go to www.positivitydayinck.com, there will be a Captain Positive face or mask, and an Opti-Woman mask.”

Captain Positive and Opti-Woman said the video done by St. Andrew’s Residence last year (below) is a great example of what they’re looking for.
