A collision on Richmond Street in Chatham appears to be the cause of a Friday afternoon power outage.
The lights went off in Chatham's south end around 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The original number of Entegrus customers without power was estimated around 1,000. However, customers were not without power for long as the estimated restoration time was pegged at 5 p.m.
Details regarding the severity of the collision are unknown at this time.
