Man arrested after Blenheim break-in

A 23-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly stealing a laptop, a Supercycle bike, and some silverware from a home on Teal Drive in Blenheim.

Police said they got the call on March 27 and were able to identify a suspect in connection with the case.

A Blenheim man was arrested yesterday and charged with break and enter and possession of stolen property.

He was taken to the courthouse and later released with conditions and a future court date.

Alleged drug dealer arrested at local motel

Chatham-Kent police have taken some more illegal drugs off the streets.

Officers said they found some cocaine, some methamphetamine, and some fentanyl while they were executing a search warrant at a motel in Chatham Wednesday afternoon.

A 54-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with three counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of failing to comply with her release conditions.

She was then released with conditions and a future court date.

Police pick up pair in a pickup truck

A 29-year-old Morpeth man and a 33-year-old Shrewsbury woman are both in trouble with police after officers got a tip about them going for an afternoon drive together.

Police said they got the tip on Wednesday, adding that the man had previously been ordered not to communicate with the woman, so they were both arrested once officers caught up with them.

The man who was arrested is charged with failing to comply with his release conditions and the woman is charged with facilitating a breach.

They have both been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Months-long mischief investigation ends with arrest

Chatham-Kent police have made an arrest in connection with some damage that was done at the Car and Dog Wash in Chatham last August.

Officers said a 45-year-old Windsor man who was wanted in connection with the case was arrested Wednesday morning, charged, and later released with conditions and a future court date.

Giant bikes reported stolen in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are trying to track down a pair of high-end bicycles that were stolen from a shed on Peterborough Drive in Chatham earlier this week.

Police said someone broke into the shed either late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning and took off with a white and orange ladies Giant bicycle and a white, pink, and grey ladies Giant bicycle.

The bikes have a combined estimated value of $2,100.
