Carleton picked in WNBA draft

Chatham native Bridget Carleton is headed to Connecticut.

The 21-year-old was selected by the Connecticut Sun with the 21st pick in the second round of the 2019 WNBA Draft on Wednesday night.

Carleton is coming off a historic senior season with Iowa State. Last week she became the first Canadian winner of the Cheryl Miller Small Forward Award and was named to the Naismith Starting 5.

She was also named the Big 12 Player of the Year and established a number of school records for the Cyclones.
