Man charged with uttering threats
A 26-year-old Lambton man is facing a pair of charges after allegedly pulling a knife on someone in Chatham.
Police said they arrested the man after a 24-year-old man reported to officers that he was walking along Richmond Street Monday morning when a stranger who was also walking in the same area came up to him an threatened him with a knife.
Officers said no one was physically hurt as a result of the incident.
The accused was charged with uttering threats and possession of a dangerous weapon before he was released with conditions and a future court date.

E-bike rider falls, gets charged with impaired driving
It looks like a local e-bike rider got a little too tipsy before he hit the road.
Police said they arrested a 54-year-old Chatham man yesterday afternoon and charged him with impaired driving after getting a report about a man who was riding an e-bike on Spencer Avenue before he fell down and hit his head.
He was taken to the hospital for medical attention, but police also suspected he may have also been impaired.
The accused was charged and later released with conditions and a future court date.
The e-bike was towed from the scene and the man's license has been suspended for 90 days.

$10K damage to Fifth Street bridge project
Chatham-Kent police are setting the damage estimate at $10,000 after several acts of vandalism at the Fifth Street bridge construction site.
Police said someone forced their way into a trailer that was parked in the area of Fifth Street and Thames Street between 7 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday before taking off with about $100 in copper wiring.
Someone also entered the construction area, causing thousands of dollars in damage.
