Trailer reported stolen in Dover Township

Chatham-Kent police are asking for tips as they try to recover a black 2006 Waltec single axle 6x8 utility trailer that was reported stolen recently.

Police said it was taken from a property on St. Clair Road in Dover Township sometime between 7 p.m. on March 29 and 6 p.m. on April 2, adding that it was last seen with the Ontario licence plate J2256P.

Police looking for stolen Chevy pickup

If you have seen a red 2001 Chev Silverado with the Ontario licence plates AV70146 over the past couple of days, police would like to hear from you.

Officers said it was reportedly stolen sometime between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from a residence on St. Clair Street in Chatham.

Police are also reminding vehicle owners to make sure their windows are closed, their doors are locked, and the keys are not left in the vehicle.

Two arrests on outstanding warrants

A 30-year-old Walpole Island man who was wanted in connection with a shoplifting incident in Wallaceburg and failing to attend court was arrested in Sarnia Wednesday afternoon.

He was taken back to Chatham-Kent for court purposes and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 24-year-old woman was wanted by OPP was also arrested Wednesday night.

Police said they found her while they were responding to a noise complaint at an apartment on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg, arrested her, and turned her over to OPP for court purposes.
