Police scratch three names off their 'wanted' list

On Friday, Chatham-Kent police were able to locate three people wanted on outstanding warrants.

The first woman police were looking for was located on Friday morning. Officers were on general patrol in Wallaceburg when they spotted the woman.

As they began to talk to her, she ran off on foot. After a short chase police were able to stop her and arrest her for failing to attend court.

The 32-year-old Wallaceburg woman was transported to the police station and held for a bail hearing.

Also in the morning, police were called to a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham where they located a 37-year-old man wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The man also fled on foot but was located shortly after by police and arrested for failing to comply with a probation order.

The Chatham resident was taken into police custody and was eventually released with a future court date.

To top off the day, police located a woman on Princess Street in Chatham yesterday afternoon.

The woman was known to be wanted on an outstanding warrant. After investigating, police confirmed she was wanted for failing to comply with conditions of her release.

The 34-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and taken to police headquarters. She was released with conditions and given a future court date.

Traffic enforcement at Chatham school 

Police are reminding the public to obey parking signs after issuing several tickets at the same location on Friday.

Officers from the traffic unit were called to King George Public School to deal with ongoing parking related issues.

During just a short period of time, they handed out five parking notices.
