Nearly $1,000 in tools stolen
Police are on the hunt for whoever broke into a house that's currently under construction.
It happened overnight on March 14 when an unknown person or persons kicked in the back door of a residence that's under construction on Talbot Trail, west of Blenheim.
While there, the culprit also entered a utility trailer that was parked on the property.
Total damage to the residence and trailer is estimated at around $2,000. The person also got away with approximately $1,000 in construction tools.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Pair arrested for fraud
Two people who went shopping on someone else's dime have been busted by police.
The trouble started on March 9 when a 25-year-old female and 32-year-old male used a stolen credit card inside of a Shoppers Drug Mart in Chatham. The pair got away with $71 worth of merchandise.
Friday morning police located the two together at a business in Ridgetown. They were arrested and transported to the police station. They were eventually given a future court date and released.

Shoplifting woman wanted on warrant
Police got a 2-for-1 catch when they arrested a woman for shoplifting who was also wanted on an outstanding warrant.
The 52-year-old woman was arrested Friday night after shoplifting at a Park Avenue business in Chatham.
After investigating, police realized she was wanted on an arrest warrant.
She was transported to police headquarters and is facing charges of theft under $5,000, possession under $5,000 and failing to attend court.
