Woman allegedly spotted in stolen vehicle

A tip about a trip to Tim Hortons led police to a suspect in Tilbury.

Police said they arrested a 29-year-old woman who was allegedly seen driving around in a stolen vehicle in Tilbury at around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday after getting a call from a witness who saw the woman walk into the coffee shop Wednesday evening.

When police arrested the woman, they also allegedly found some stolen ID on her. She was charged with two counts of theft and held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Trio of arrests on Wanted Wednesday

Police have arrested three more people who were wanted on outstanding warrants.

Officers picked up a 22-year-old man at the hospital in Chatham Wednesday morning on some warrants for undisclosed offences and took him into custody pending a bail hearing.

A 32-year-old woman who was wanted by police was also arrested Wednesday in Chatham and taken into custody pending a bail hearing.

And a 45-year-old man who was wanted for breaching his probation was arrested Wednesday night in downtown Chatham and later released with conditions and a future court date.

Domestic assault arrest

A 29-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly entering his ex-girlfriend's residence and causing undisclosed amounts of damage to her property.

He was taken into custody Wednesday morning and held pending a bail hearing.
