Wallaceburg woman arrested on warrant 

A Wallaceburg woman is spending some time behind bars after failing to attend court.

The woman, 30, was originally arrested in September 2018. Upon her release, she was given a January 2019 court date.

When the woman failed to attend her court date, a warrant was issued for her arrest.

She was located on Friday, arrested and transported to the police station. She is being held awaiting a bail hearing.

Wanted man located after shoplifting 

A man is in double the trouble after being arrested for shoplifting and on an outstanding warrant.

Following an arrest in 2018, the 31-year-old Chatham man was set to appear in court on February 6. After he failed to show up at court, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On March 1 the man was arrested for shoplifting in a St. Clair Street store.

The man was taken into police custody and is being held for a bail hearing.

Man who failed to show up to court located four months later

A Leamington man is facing charges nearly two years after being arrested.

The man was originally released from police custody in March 2017. He was due in court in November 2018 but did not show up.

After issuing a warrant for his arrest, the man was located on Friday by Leamington OPP and turned over to Chatham-Kent Police.

He is being held at the police station and awaiting a bail hearing.
