Maroons tie Flyers 2-2 after double OT

The Chatham Maroons tied the Leamington Flyers 2-2 after double overtime on Thursday.

Josh King scored for Leamington 11:54 into the first period, but Chatham was able to tie things up after Griffin Robinson scored 13:18 into the second. Leamington regained the advantage after Wyatt O'Neil scored just over half way into the third frame, but the Maroons tied things up once again after Justin Badour scored at the 13:36 mark. After no scoring in two overtime frames, the game ended in a tie.

Chatham goaltender Adam Harris made 35 saves, while Leamington goalie Zach Borgiel made 23.

The Flyers will close out the regular season on Saturday when they face off against the Kings at 7:15 p.m. And then on Sunday, the Maroons will play their final regular season game against the St. Marys Lincolns at 7 p.m.
