Maroons edge Lincolns 4-3 in double OT

The Chatham Maroons beat the St. Marys Lincolns 4-3 in double overtime on Friday.

The Lincolns scored 2:28 into the first period to take a 1-0 lead that lasted throughout a scoreless second frame.

Zach Power put Chatham on the board with a goal 38 seconds into the third, but the Lincolns added another two goals with just under 10 minutes left in the game. However, Kyle Fisher and Griffin Robinson both scored for the Maroons to tie the game 3-3 and force OT.

After no scoring in one overtime period, Fisher scored the game-winner for Chatham 32 seconds into the double OT.

Maroons goalie Adam Harris made 24 saves out of 27 shots on net.

The Maroons return home on Sunday to battle the St. Thomas Stars at 7 p.m.
