Maroons tie Kings 4-4

The Chatham Maroons and Komoka Kings ended Thursday night's game in a 4-4 tie after no scoring in double overtime.

The Nolan Gardiner kicked off the game for Chatham with a goal 4:37 into the first period, but Komoka took at 2-1 lead by scoring twice before the end of the frame. Gardiner scored his second of the night 9:44 into the second to tie the game, and Dane Johnstone scored another to give the Maroons the advantage heading into the third.

Zach Power scored early in the third to give Chatham a 4-2 lead, however, the Kings responded by scoring another two goals before the end of the fame to tie things up and force OT.

After no scoring in both overtime periods, the game ended in a tie.

Maroons goalie Tristan Lewis made 28 saves out of 32 shots on net.

The Maroons return home on Sunday to take on the Strathroy Rockets at 7 p.m.
