Carleton finalist for Wooden Award

Chatham native Bridget Carleton has been named one of the top 20 finalists for the Wooden Award.

Carleton, a senior guard at Iowa State, is considered a front-runner for the award, which is given annually to the most outstanding player in women's college basketball.

Ten finalists will be announced following the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament.

Carleton is the Cyclones fourth-leading scorer of all time with 1,833 career points and is leading the Big 12 this season with 20.5 points per game.

The 21-year-old is also named to the Cheryl Miller Award, Naismith Trophy Midseason list and a Senior CLASS Award nominee.
