22-year-old charged with robbery 

At a residence in Chatham on Friday, two men became involved in an argument over an outstanding debt.

During the course of the altercation, one of the men assaulted the other, stole his wallet and then fled the scene.

A 22-year-old Chatham man has been arrested and charged with robbery. He was released with conditions pending a future court date.

Chatham man charged with theft 

Early Friday evening a 36-year-old Chatham man went into a store on Grand Avenue in Chatham.

While there, the man selected several lottery tickets and then fled the store without paying for them.

Just before 10:00 pm, the man was found by police and arrested. Upon searching him, officers were able to locate the lottery tickets.

He has been charged with theft and possession under $5000 and released from custody with a future court date.

Six drivers have been charged with speeding following a traffic enforcement conducted Friday on Talbot Road in Wheatley.
