All branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library will be open again today, in hopes of providing a warm location for anyone that needs to get out of the cold.
Extended hours will be offered on Thursday at the following branches:
•Merlin: 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.
•Thamesville: Noon until 5 p.m.
•Wallaceburg: 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
•Wheatley: 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.
The following branches will be open their regular hours:
•Blenheim: Noon until 8 p.m.
•Bothwell: 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.
•Tilbury: Noon until 8 p.m.
•Ridgetown: Noon until 8 p.m.
•Dresden: Noon until 8 p.m.
•Chatham: 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Wind chills in the are expected to dip down to -29 C throughout the day with the risk of frostbite developing within minutes. Library staff said they are happy to open the doors to help anyone needing a warm place to go during one of the coldest days of the year.
