Charge laid after crash east of Blenheim

A 51-year-old woman is charged with refusing to provide a breath sample after an early morning crash on Ridge Line between Blenheim and Ridgetown.

Chatham-Kent police said they were called to the scene between Mull Road and Base Road at around 4 a.m. Friday, adding officers who arrived there believed the woman who was driving the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol, so they arrested her and took her back to police headquarters for breath tests.

She was later charged with refusing to take those tests and was set to be released once she sobered up.
