Maroons hope to avoid another snakebite in LaSalle

The Chatham Maroons are heading to LaSalle Wednesday night with one last chance to come away with a victory at the Vollmer Recreation Complex.

The first time the Maroons played the Vipers there this season, on October 3, Chatham lost 5-4 in overtime. The second time the two teams faced off in LaSalle (November 14), the Vipers won again, this time in regulation by a score of 4-2.

The Maroons are in second place in the standings at the moment with 45 points - a solid 10 points ahead of the Vipers - but LaSalle has the edge through four games between the two clubs in the 2018-19 season with a 3-1 record against Chatham.

Both teams are riding two-game point streaks with LaSalle coming off of wins against Strathroy and St. Thomas while the Maroons are riding a win against Sarnia and a tie against Strathroy over the weekend.

You can hear tonight's game on Country 92.9FM/AM 630 CFCO or by clicking here. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
