Intoxicated Chatham man arrested on warrants

Windsor Police arrested a Chatham man on an outstanding warrant for assault, uttering threats and failing to appear in court.

Due to his high level of intoxication, he was taken to a local hospital for assessment where he was treated and remained for some time.

As a result, the accused was released from custody unconditionally at the hospital and the warrant will be executed at a later time.

Gregory Line break and enter

Sometime overnight January 12, 2019, unknown culprits broke into an unoccupied residence on Gregory Line in Chatham by forcing the garage door open.

A number of tools and a 10 foot metal press were stolen from the property. Police are currently investigating.

Woman turns herself in

A local female turned herself into Chatham-Kent police headquarters on an outstanding warrant. She was released with a future court date.

Wallaceburg break and enter

Sometime over the last week, unknown suspects entered an abandoned home by prying open a secure door.

While inside they removed a ladies Schwinn bicycle valued at $400, two children’s bikes and miscellaneous decorations. There are no suspects but the matter remains under investigation.
