Wanted man arrested in Chatham

A 31-year-old Chatham man has been arrested again after allegedly breaching his probation conditions.

He was then taken to police headquarters, processed, and released with conditions and a future court date.

Two bail violations

Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man and a woman who were both allegedly breaching their bail conditions.

Officers said both of the accused were previously released from custody earlier this year on the condition that they were not allowed to communicate with each other.

Police arrested both of them at the woman's residence Thursday and took them back to police headquarters until they could appear in court for their bail hearings.

Break and enter

Chatham-Kent police are looking for leads as they investigate a break-in at a home on Fifth Line.

Officers said they were notified of the incident after a homeowner received a notification on his phone that an alarm was going off at his residence on Thursday.

When police arrived at the scene, they saw that the front door had been kicked in and one of the bedrooms had been rummaged through, but there didn't appear to be anything missing.

Police believe the suspect may have been scared off by the alarm.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
