Chatham Township break and enter

Police are looking for a suspect or suspects after a shed was broken into on Countryview Line.

The suspect cut a lock that was on the shed and then stole two snowmobiles, a black and yellow Ski-Doo and a black Citation on a snowmobile trailer.

Man Arrested on outstanding warrants

On Saturday night officers arrested a man wanted for a theft in Wallaceburg.

The 41-year-old man from Walpole has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man charged with impaired driving

While on general patrol Saturday night in Merlin, police conducted a routine traffic stop.

Upon speaking to the driver, officers believed he was under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and taken to the police station for breath tests.

A 38-year-old man of Middle Line in Merlin has been charged with driving over the legal limit.

Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

Early Sunday morning police arrested a man wanted for failing to attend court for a previous matter.

The 22-year-old Ridgetown man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

No impaired driving charges during RIDE program

Saturday night police conducted RIDE programs in Chatham and Merlin.

A total of 175 vehicles were stopped and checked. Although a number of Highway Traffic Act warnings were issued, no one was found to be driving while impaired.

Female Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

On Saturday night police arrested a female wanted for failing to sign in at Chatham-Kent Police as per court order.

A 37-year-old Chatham woman has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Late Saturday, police arrested a man wanted for failing to attend court on a previous matter.

The 47-year-old Dresden man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
