CK woman airlifted to London hospital after crash

Chatham-Kent police continue to investigate a serious crash that sent a Thamesville woman to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said they were called to the intersection of Countryview Line and Centre Side Road at around 8:30 a.m. Monday after a serious two-vehicle collision took place there.

Investigators said so far, they have determined that two people who were travelling south on Centre Side Road in a Buick Regal were hit by a Toyota Camry that was heading west on Countryview Line.

All three people who were involved in the crash were taken to the hospital in Chatham for medical treatment.

The 41-year-old woman who was driving the Buick Regal suffered life-threatening injuries and was later airlifted to London for further treatment once her condition was stabilized. There is no word on how serious the injuries were to the other two people involved.

Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact Constable Randy Whittaker at randyw@chatham-kent.ca or 519-355-1092.
