Maroons face rivals in Leamington

The Chatham Maroons will be in Leamington Thursday night to face the Flyers.

The Maroons are coming off an overtime victory against the Sarnia Legionnaires Sunday night.

The match-up between the Maroons and Flyers will be an interesting game for a couple of reasons. Both teams are currently tied for second place in the western conference of the GOJHL. Chatham and Leamington have played the same number of games and are both sitting at 31 points. Thursday night's game will determine who sits behind first-place London, as the Nationals lead the conference with 39 points in 25 games.

This will also mark a return for a couple former Flyers. Griffin Robinson and Maddux Rychel were acquired by the Maroons in mid-November in exchange for Josh King and Thomas Michaud. This will be the first game between the two teams since the trade.

The game can be heard on Country 92.9FM / 630 AM or online by clicking here. Puck drop is set for 7:10 p.m.
