Police briefs for Saturday, December 1, 2018

Two Chatham men have been arrested on outstanding warrants, according to Chatham-Kent police.

A C-K officer on general patrol on William St. in Chatham at about 8:45 p.m. Friday observed an individual known to the officer. Through the investigation, it was determined that the man was wanted by police on an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with the terms of recognizance. The 32-year-old was arrested and charged with failure to comply. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Officers located another man in the area of Harvey St. in Chatham around 1 a.m. Saturday. It was also shown that this individual was also wanted by police for failing to comply with the terms of recognizance.

The 33-year-old man was charged with three counts of failing to comply. He was also held in custody pending a bail hearing.

C-K police are investigating a break-and-enter that occurred this week at a home in Morpeth.

Police say that sometime on Wednesday, someone broke into the home on Clark Rd., stealing toys that were intended to be Christmas presents.
