Canada Post workers in Chatham-Kent on strike again

Residents in Chatham-Kent shouldn't expect to receive any mail on Tuesday.

Unionized Canada Post workers in Chatham went on strike just after midnight Tuesday morning.

The job action affects rural and urban carriers, and Canada Post outlets across Chatham-Kent.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) rejected a proposal by Canada Post on Monday afternoon to put on an 80-day “cooling-off” period.

This the second time that workers in Chatham have walked off the job, since rotating strikes started on October 22.
