Homeowner stops break and enter

A break and enter on Daniels Place in Chatham Monday morning was interrupted by the homeowner.

Police said the owner's dog started barking at two men who were in their kitchen just after 2:00 a.m.

One man wearing a black winter coat ran north on King Street East while the other man, wearing an orange hoodie, ran south behind an apartment building. Two other people in a white Toyota Corolla that was parked in front of the home also fled the area.

Police believe the suspects got in the home using a key that was stolen with a truck and trailer on Sunday morning.
