Police briefs for Sunday, November 18, 2018

A Chatham man's alleged temper has brought him several charges.

Chatham-Kent police say the man went to a home around 4 p.m. Saturday where he apparently threatened and assaulted the three people there. All three were known to the suspect. The man left the location after police were called but officers located him a short distance away.

The 41-year-old Chatham man was charged with uttering threats and two counts of assault. He was taken to police headquarters where he was released pending a future court date.

The suspect has not been identified. These charges have yet to be proven in court.

Police are looking for someone who broke into and damaged a shed in Morpeth.

The incident occurred sometime over the weekend, police say. Entry was gained by cutting the locks off the shed. It was not disclosed, though, if anything was taken from it.
