Impaired driving charges after crash
A Thamesville man is facing drunk driving charges after a crash took place just outside of Chatham early Thursday morning.
Chatham-Kent police said at around 4 a.m., they responded to a call about a single vehicle crash in the area of Pain Court Line and Bear Line Road in Dover Township.
Officers said after they arrived at the scene, they suspected that the driver had been under the influence of alcohol, so he was taken back to police headquarters for further testing.
As a result of their investigation, police charged a 30-year-old Thamesville man with impaired driving.
No injuries were reported in connection with the crash.

Shoplifter arrested after theft complaint at pet store
Charges have been laid after an alleged a shoplifting incident at Pet Valu in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police said they arrested a 32-year-old Chatham man in connection with the case after responding to a complaint at the store Wednesday morning.
The accused is charged with theft and possession of stolen property. He has been released with conditions and a future court date.

Blenheim man accused of harassment
Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 41-year-old Blenheim man and charged him with criminal harassment.
Officers said he turned himself in at police headquarters Wednesday morning -- he was later released with conditions and a future court date.

Speeders stopped in Tilbury, Blenheim
Eight people have been charged with speeding after police reportedly spotted them zipping through Tilbury and Blenheim Wednesday.
Officers pulled over six of the drivers on Queens Line as they were making their way into Tilbury. Police stopped the other two drivers on Talbot Street East between Pook Road and Harwich Road in Blenheim.
