Butterfly Building campaign gets $25K donation

The Children's Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent is getting a funding boost from a couple of wind farms.

Wind LP and East Lake St Clair Wind LP -- companies of ENGIE Canada Inc. -- have donated $25,000 to the foundation's Butterfly Building campaign.

According to a media release sent by the Children's Treatment Centre, this donation will go towards the audiology waiting room and family meeting room in the new facility once it's built.

“We recognize that the Children’s Treatment Centre has been assisting local families for over 70 years," said Brooke Watson, site administrator for ENGIE Canada Inc. in a statement. "We're honoured to have the opportunity to lend our support to such a worthwhile the organization,”

The CTC currently serves 3,200 children and youth. It's projected that the number will grow to 4,500 by 2020. The new facility, which is to be built in Chatham on McNaughton Avenue, is expected to be 50,000 square feet, complete with new equipment to better meet the needs of more children in the community.
