Police find cocaine in Blenheim

Chatham-Kent police have arrested two people in their 20s in connection with a drug bust in Blenheim.

Officers said members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section executed a search warrant at a residence in that town Tuesday and seized "a quantity" of cocaine.

A 20-year-old Blenheim man and a 21-year-old Blenheim woman were both arrested and charged with drug possession in connection with the investigation.

They have both been released from custody with conditions and a future court date.

Chatham man arrested for drug possession

A 40-year-old man is in more trouble with police after officers arrested him for allegedly breaching his probation conditions.

Chatham-Kent police said they allegedly found some methamphetamine on the man after arresting him Tuesday night. He is also accused of failing to sign in, which was one of the conditions of his release.

As a result of their investigation, police charged a 40-year-old Chatham man with drug possession and two counts of failing to comply with his release conditions. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Two more wanted men arrested

Chatham-Kent police can cross a couple more names off of their wanted list.

Officers said they arrested a 49-year-old Chatham man Tuesday afternoon who was wanted for drug offences and failing to attend court.

A 40-year-old Chatham man was also arrested Tuesday after allegedly failing to sign in with police on October 8. That violated one of the conditions he was given when he was released from court back on July 31.

Both of the accused were taken to the courthouse in Chatham pending a bail hearing.
