Police looking for witnesses

Just after 8 p.m. last night, police responded to a collision on Talbot Trail near Charing Cross Road. An eastbound orange Jeep Compass struck a westbound grey Kia Sedona.

The 45-year-old Windsor driver of the Jeep had moderate injuries and was taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. The other drive was not injured.

Reports say the Jeep was driving erratically before the collision and police are looking for witnesses who may have seen anything between the town of Leamington and Charing Cross Croad, eastobound on Hwy. 3.

Sergeant Michael Pearce is handling the investigated and witnesses can contact him at 519-359-1776.

Lock it before you pocket it

CK police are again reminding people to make sure their phones are locked in pockets or bags, to avoid calling 911 on accident.

If you do call on accident, stay on the line to tell dispatchers there is no emergency.

Otherwise, personnel will be sent to your location.

In the last 24 hours, police responded to more than 30 hang up or accidental 911 calls.
