Shoplifting trio
Police responded to a shoplifting complaint at Walmart in Chatham yesterday afternoon. A group of three suspects reportedly fled the store without paying for their merchandise.
A short while later, police located a vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in connection with the investigation.
Two Londoners and one man from Bothwell, all under the age of 25, were arrested and charged with theft under $5,000. One of the two from London was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for another shoplifting incident, also in Chatham.
They have all been released with a future court date.

Teenagers assaulted
A 20-year-old woman turned herself in to police after allegedly assaulting an 18-year-old and 14-year-old on October 8.
The Chatham woman has been charged with assault and is due in court in November.

Outstanding warrant
Last night, police located a Wallaceburg man who was wanted by OPP. The 43-year-old was arrested and handed over to Lambton OPP.

Pickup truck stolen
Late Monday or early Tuesday morning, a garage was broken into on Hornick Line. Thieves made off with $700 in tools and a 2014 black Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The truck was plated with Ontario AN90 067 and has a loud custom exhaust system, a Mopar sticker on the rear tailgate and new Mickey Thompson tires.

E-bike stolen
A green and white e-bike was stolen from a Wallaceburg property yesterday around dinner time.
The e-bike is a Daymak model and has been valued at $1,800.

Speeding driver suspended
CK OPP stopped an eastbound vehicle on Hwy. 401 after RADAR registered its speed in excess of 110 km/hr.
After stopping the driver, the officer discovered he had been drinking alcohol and conducted a roadside test.
The 36-year-old Ridgetown driver was suspended from driving for three days and charged with speeding.

Driver falls asleep at the wheel
A 21-year-old from Toronto was arrested and charged by CK OPP on Tuesday.
Police responded to a collision on Highway 401 and discovered a westbound driver had fallen asleep and collided with highway barriers.
No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
The driver has been charged with careless driving.
