Man accused of punching business owner in the face

Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 35-year-old man who was wanted on several outstanding warrants.

Police said the man was wanted for allegedly punching the owner of a Wallaceburg establishment in the face after being denied entry last month. The man is also accused of shoplifting at Walmart in Chatham and failing to attend court.

Officers picked him up Monday morning, charged him, and took him to the courthouse pending a bail hearing.

Woman arrested for shoplifting

A 22-year-old Walpole Island woman is back in Chatham-Kent police custody after she was arrested in Sarnia Monday afternoon.

Police said the woman was wanted on outstanding warrants for shoplifting and failing to attend court.

She is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Tools targeted in Dover Township

Chatham-Kent police are trying to track down some tools that were stolen from a storage container in front of a residence under construction in Pain Court.

Officers said the tools were taken sometime over the weekend and have a combined value of $1,300.

Trailer stolen in Tilbury

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they try to recover a red homemade single axle 10 foot by 5 foot trailer that was stolen from a residence on Gladstone Avenue in Tilbury.

Police said it was last seen with J. Fantin Enterprise Ltd in gold lettering on both sides.

Dirt bike reported stolen in Tilbury

Police are also trying to find a green 2009 Kawasaki KL2 250 Enduro dirt bike that was stolen from a residence on Canal Street West in Tilbury.

Officers say it was taken sometime either late Sunday night or early Monday morning.
