Completion date set for bridge in Harwich Township

If all goes as planned, construction on the New Scotland Line bridge, over the Bates-Bloomfield drain in Harwich Township will be replaced by the end of November.

Engineering and transportation officials with the municipality sent a media release stating that construction on the bridge will start the first week of November. The bridge replacement is expected to be done by November 30.

In the meantime, New Scotland Line between Kent Bridge Road and Mull Road will remain closed. There is a detour in place that runs from Kent Bridge Road, to Talbot Trail, to Mull Road.

Construction projects within the municipality can be monitored through Chatham-Kent's Construction Projects website.
